How a tankless water heater works
Tankless water heaters work by heating water on demand instead of relying on a tank of stored hot water. When hot water is needed, water flows from the supply source through the tankless heater and flow sensors fire a burner. Water lines around a heat exchanger then warm the water to the desired temperature instantly without any wait time. When the hot-water valve is not open, the flow sensor turns off, disabling the burner.
